Beattie is an alt-pop artist hailing from West London, and is proving to be a firm fixture of the UK’s up-and-coming female-led producer scene. Influenced by the likes of Lana Del Rey, Banks and Jorja Smith, Beattie’s newest offering is a down-tempo ballad that follows an already impressive back catalog. Mastered by John Davis (Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, FKA Twigs), ‘Lucky’ is certainly Beattie’s most ambitious release yet.
Coming alongside a new visual, Beattie illustrates that she is a pop artist who is here to stay. Check it out below:
Discussing her release Beattie explains:
“Lucky, for me, was the reflection during the aftermath of a relationship with someone. That sudden feeling of being alone, acknowledging that you're better off without someone but knowing you still would find the time for them despite it all.”
Having released ‘Games’ and ‘Ghosting’ in 2017 and 2019 to notable acclaim on DSPs, Beattie is continuing to find her feet as a promising pop hopeful. The 21-year-old artist is clearly wise beyond her years, and writes with a maturity that comes increasingly harder to come by. Without any doubt, Beattie is certainly an artist you’ll be hearing a lot more about.
