2020 hasn’t been the best year so we’re letting Brite Spires take us back on a trip to the ’80s with their new disco-inspired track “Heavenly”.
In a delightful electrofunk soundscape, the synth-pop track uses sound bites that could have been taken from decades ago and cleverly mixed them with current trends and glistening productions to create an overall sophisticated (and super catchy) track.
The collective, made up of Drew, Cal, Fischer and Nat have used their influences including Christina+Queens, Chvrches and Florence+Machine to create a unique sound. They also incredibly well connected with ties to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rem, The Klaxxons, Karl Cox, Ride, Supergrass and Radiohead. So it’s no wonder they have incredible music direction.
Nat’s beautiful vocals guide us on a journey as Drew explains, “The song 'Heavenly' is inspired by the experience of Natalia fleeing Georgia, Russia, and leaving a loved one behind and is a song of courage to those in peril, and inspiration of their plight.”
With the promise of more to come at least something has gone well this year… thanks Brite Spires!
Speaking on the track, they say:
The song 'Heavenly' is inspired by the experience of Natalia fleeing Georgia, Russia, and leaving a loved one behind and is a song of courage to those in peril, and inspiration of their plight.”
