With a knack for incorporating folk singer-songwriter styles with timeless indie melodics, Meekoh finally returns with his new single — From The River, released everywhere today.
Written as an ode to his lover, From The River demonstrates Meekoh's captivating lyricism and ability to transport his listeners by just a strum of a guitar. The music video is equally as — and further carries viewers on a cinematic journey beside Meekoh as he travels down a river as a powerful symbol and declaration. As he strummed & sang, he was literally being swept away by the river in freezing cold water — sometimes even being in the path of rocks and powerful currents. "I shot the first half of this video on the Deschutes river in my hometown of Bend, Oregon. It was my first time directing an entire music video with just a drone and also my first time floating down wild rapids while performing a song with a guitar! It was by far one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced!"
A powerful force in music, Meekoh completely wrote, produced, and performed the song itself, while also only strictly using real instruments to ensure the message behind the song was as authentic as it is itself. Listen below!
