Listen to 'Rainy Days' from R&B/soul powerhouse Mighloe

Toronto’s emerging R&B/soul music powerhouse Mighloe returns with her second, smooth and sultry single, ‘Rainy Days’, taken from her forthcoming EP, Desperate Times.

Newly signed to Public Records Inc. Mighloe has been doing wonders, making a name for herself in the industry performing alongside Grammy Award-winning PJ Morton, major label artist Ari Lennox and Canadian hometown favourite Witch Prophet. With an impressive background of achievements and a wealth of musical skills under her belt, Mighloe is well on her way to becoming both an international star and a household name.

On this record, produced by Late Night Drive and Dean Vision, Mighloe continues to provide a rich and honest soundtrack to our lives. This particular offering encourages listeners to unmask their humanity and find refuge and solace in the uncertainties of love.

Speaking about her second song of the year, Mighloe says:

“‘Rainy days’ is about opening yourself up to requited love! A love that goes both ways. It’s sweet and sexy and drenched in obsession. It’s about begging for the rainy days, for the sorrows because in those desperate times, when we are weak; is where our love is the strongest.”

Known for her sultry vocals and mature and honest lyricism, Mighloe’s appeal lies greatly in the way her writing juxtaposes an honest innocence with hard-won wisdom and a strong knowledge of self. Set upon a backdrop of sultry bass guitar riffs, steady, foot-tapping drum beats and hazy, spacious production, ‘Rainy Days’ is a perfect culmination of Mighloe’s distinct sound and visual identity coming together.
