Emerging Canadian artist Mighloe is stepping into 2021 with a swagger in her step and she seeks to reclaim her power through sizzling R&B single 'Don't Call Me'. It's an über sultry song based on an aqueous backbeat that wobbles as though it was recorded underwater. Sitting atop the soft waves of the track is the siren-esque Mighloe with her confident and easy-going vocals. Her voice is soft-yet-smokey and the understated performance reflects the new relaxed attitude to a situation that she once poured all of her time and energy into.
As the Toronto musician shares: “Writing ‘Don’t Call Me’ came from a place of being fed up. There are so many people that come in and out of our lives, and sometimes these people hinder our stability and sense of self. This song was my way of saying “enough!” I will no longer let these people take parts of myself. It’s me realizing that my energy is sacred and will not be disturbed. It’s the final “Fuck You” but say it politely. “Don’t Call Me.””
