The heavenly new single ‘Voice In My Head’ from singer-songwriter Miller Roberts will leave listeners desperate to hear more from this emerging artist. The song opens as a piano-led ballad, before a soft beat and dreamy harmonies elevate the song into a chilled, mid-tempo soundscape. Delivering smooth melodies and candid lyrics, Miller’s angelic vocals are utterly captivating on this promising release.
Speaking of the meaning behind her new track, Miller revealed: “I feel as though I have found my unique sound in this recording process. I have intentionally kept this track as lofi as possible, with no use of autotune or quantising so that it feels real, raw & authentic while maintaining its sweet, fun, uplifting nature.”
Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, Miller Roberts is inspired by the likes of Carole King and Joni Mitchel, as well as more modern artists such as Lucy Rose, Justin Vernan and Sufjan Stevens. Since making her debut last year with the charming EP ‘Square One’, Miller has been honing her sound further with new single ‘Voice In My Head’, and we look forward to hearing what she has lined up next.
