The Roles release intense new single ‘I Try’

Hailing from Kyiv, Ukraine, The Roles are taken the scene of their country by storm. The four-piece comprises of Nastya on vocals, guitarist Stas, Bohdan on bass and Andrew on drums. Together they create thunderous and mesmerising live performances, bringing their sound to stage with energised riffs and infectious melodies.

With their lives upended by conflict, they are keeping up their music as best as they can, sharing new music and eagerly waiting to get back to performing. The band look ahead to making the jump to the global stage, committing to their journey and injecting their passion into each track they complete.

Their latest release is ‘I Try’, a track that showcases their potential through glorious and gritty rock. Steady rhythms coax you into the soundscape, setting an eerie scene before electrifying the atmosphere with roaring guitar lines and strong vocals. More elements join the music, overwhelming you with emotion and intensity. Building until the very last moment, they are equally as haunting as they are inspiring, a serious single from The Roles.

The band share, “All the band members are melomaniacs and somehow related to music since childhood so it was just a matter of time to gather and make our own songs.

The track describes relations between two lovers, its ups and downs and the main goal is that each and every listener could find something personal while listening to it.”

Speaking on the war that led to them leaving their home city, The Roles add, “Please feel free to donate to our soldiers if that’s possible outside of Ukraine, it really helps a lot, and always stay human, despite the times you live in.”
