Brighton-based group Thrillhouse have returned with their nostalgic new EP Wedding Disco, blending quirky melodies with shimmering synths and 80s pop influences. Posing humorous existential questions against dance-inducing alt-pop tracks, Thrillhouse present a blast from the past with their thrilling new EP.
Discussing the release, lead singer Sam shares: “'Wedding Disco' is essentially a concept EP; songs that'd fit in nicely at an 80s wedding party... but really it was just an excuse for us to write big cheesy tunes. We produced and mixed it ourselves which, turns out, is a hellish experience that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy, but we're happy with how it's come out.”
Pushing shiny hooks and driving beats towards the forefront of their sound, Thrillhouse are making a name for themselves on the scene as purveyors of old-school pop music that is sure to get the party started.
