Trevy James is back with the release of his latest single, '(Let Me Tell You 'Bout) What I See' as he continues on his artistic journey to seamlessly blend soul, reggae and R&B. Making waves through 2025, James lets his creative juices truly flow with his sonic momentum showing no signs of faltering.

Breaking through the soundwaves retrospective piano chops, James' signature delivery steals the limelight before his blues-filled guitar and brass tops take centre stage. Written with a dynamic, magnetic flow, the single stands its ground as a luscious blend of a set of legendary influences, taking cues from the likes of Sade, Third World and Toto.

Speaking about the track, he dives in, “This record perfectly captures the stylistic tug-of-war between reggae and R&B that is constantly at play in my head whenever I sit down at the piano to write. I knew I needed to take this soulful R&B groover somewhere different in the verses, and I opted to just flip it completely on its head into a one-drop reggae groove. I'm very grateful to my writing partner, Psydecar's Tim Pacheco, for his expertise in bringing that drastic change to life. His drum performance on this song was critical to the success of that arrangement move.”
