Returning with their first single since the release of their 2023 album ‘LOL’, anime-inspired hyper-grunge outfit Zeroz are back with their latest single ‘The Stupid Song’
As soon as the track is unleashed, there is simply no force holding it back. Hitting the speakers with an almost-shoegazed wall of sound, the single sports raspy vocals in front of charged guitars. Pushing the boundaries of alternative songwriting, the single sees the group pioneer a certain brand of ‘hyper-rock’, mixing parts with grunge and punk along the way.
Speaking about the single, the group explore the meaning behind the track, “The single is inspired by the cult anime favourite Evangelion where the character Asuka Langley Soryu insults co-character Shinji Ikari, calling him ‘stupid’ whilst repeatedly asking him "Are you stupid?"
